From late spring to early fall (May-September), the river experiences its highest flow, and the air temperatures are comfortably warm-ideal for an invigorating experience. At the start of the season, you’ll encounter the full strength of spring runoff, but as the season progresses, the warmer sunlight reduces the chill, making each drop feel revitalizing.
Dry Freedom Jet Tour
Summer months (June-August) are perfect for a dry-seat cruise, with the breeze acting as natural air conditioning. However, don’t overlook April-May and September-October, as fewer crowds and colorful foliage create a stunning, more intimate experience whenever the water is accessible.

- By car: From Niagara Falls, head south on Niagara Parkway/Queen Victoria Park Road. Continue for 7 km, passing the Floral Clock and Whirlpool Aero Car turn‑offs. Turn left onto River Frontage Road; follow it 500 m to our lot.
- By taxi & rideshare: Drop‑off is right at the orange “Whirlpool Jet” flags-your guide will meet you curbside.
- By Public Transit: Take the Niagara Falls Shuttle – Route 1 stops at Queenston Village.
- Walking: From the shuttle stop, it’s a 5-minute stroll down River Frontage Road; simply follow the riverside path until you see our check‑in hut.
USA side

- Parking: Complimentary, open‑air lot directly adjacent to our waterfront boardwalk. Spaces are first‑come, first‑served; arrive early during peak season to secure a spot.
- By car: From Niagara Falls, New York, take the Niagara Scenic Parkway (formerly Robert Moses Parkway) north for about 8 miles. Exit at West River Road/Lower River Road toward Lewiston, then turn left onto Lower River Road. After 500 m, bear right onto South Water Street and follow it 200 m to our lot. The drive typically takes 10-15 minutes, though summer traffic can add a few extra minutes.
- By taxi & rideshare: Drop‑off is right at the orange “Whirlpool Jet” flags on our waterfront boardwalk (adjacent to the Griffon Brewery & Gastropub); your guide will meet you curbside.
- By Public Transit: Accessible via the Discover Niagara Shuttle; Route A stops at South Water Street near our check‑in hut; please check the shuttle schedule in advance as service may vary.
- Walking: From the shuttle stop, it’s a 5‑minute stroll south along South Water Street. Simply follow the riverside promenade until you see our check‑in hut under the orange flags.
Your safety is our top priority. From the moment you step on board:
- Stay seated & belted: Sudden turns and rapids can jolt the boat; keep that seatbelt fastened.
- Life jacket on: The crew will provide you with the outfit; keep it on until you are safely ashore.

Wet Jet Tour
You’ll be drenched. Pack a complete change of clothes; dry shorts, a fresh T‑shirt, and a towel. You’ll be given ponchos and life jackets, but on cooler days a warm base layer beneath your poncho will keep you comfortable.
Water‑ready shoes or our on‑site boots are a must. Avoid flip‑flops, which can slip off during those swirling rapids.
Dry Freedom Jet Tour
Feel free to bring your DSLR, GoPro, or smartphone; our sealed cabin means you stay dry. Just secure everything with wrist straps or place small electronics in a zipped pouch. The gorge breeze can be surprisingly cool, especially in the morning or late afternoon. A light jacket or sweater will keep you cozy as you zip past canyon walls.
- Arrive at least 45 minutes early for all tours to complete registration, sign agreements, and attend safety orientation. Late arrivals won't be accommodated.

The experience is great. Once you arrive, you need to fill out a waiver, and then you can use the plastic protection to avoid getting too wet. A good thing is that the lockers are free. Once the ride begins, everything is amazing, but I think it could be improved with more storytelling and jokes to make the experience even better.
I didn’t give it 5 stars because the preparation before the activity takes almost the same amount of time as the ride itself. Also, I feel the experience is a bit short.

An Unforgettable Adventure on the Water!
If you're visiting the Niagara region and want to add some serious thrill to your trip, the Niagara Jet Boat Tour is an absolute must-do! This was, hands down, one of the highlights of our entire vacation.
From start to finish, the experience was smooth, professional, and incredibly exciting. The staff were super friendly and clearly passionate about safety and fun. We felt well-prepared with the safety briefing and gear, and it was obvious that they take their training seriously — which made us feel completely comfortable heading into the rapids.
Now, let’s talk about the ride itself — WOW. The power of the jet boat as it roared through the Class V rapids was mind-blowing. We were absolutely drenched (by choice — we picked the wet option!) and laughing the whole time. The captain added so much energy to the trip with great commentary, fun spins, and just the right amount of adrenaline.
Beyond the thrill, the scenery was breathtaking. Cruising through the Niagara Gorge and seeing the stunning cliffs, swirling waters, and vibrant natural beauty gave us a new appreciation for the area.
Whether you're a thrill-seeker or just looking to do something totally different, Niagara Jet Adventures delivers big time. Be sure to bring a change of clothes if you're doing the wet tour — you will get soaked, and you’ll love every second of it.

This was the 2nd time for myself and kids. We took my niece who got to experience this for the first time. It was a blast. She looooved it. Our guide was awesome and Captain Nick did a fantastic job making sure we were soaked but safe. This will now be on our summer to do list every year.

I've been living in the Niagara Region for the past 20 years, but originally from the East Coast and love being on the water, but today was the first time doing the Whirlpool Jet Boat Tour with my daughter, and man let me tell ya...what an experience. Everything was great and would recommend it to anyone that is capable of doing it.
My daughter was nervous at first, but she loved it as well and would go back and do it all over again.
The only thing that I wish I had known before hand was the local resident discount rate. I booked it online and I didn't know about it, but a friend told me about it after it was booked and I asked about it once we checked in today, but the lady that checked us in said that we couldn't get the discount at that point, which was totally fine because it was well worth it at the full price.
Will be going back again at some point.
