What to expect on your Niagara Falls Power Station tour

Meet your guide at the Skylon Parking Lot B and begin your journey with sweeping views of Niagara Falls from atop Skylon Tower. Explore the history of this century-old hydroelectric power plant through repurposed artefacts, interactive displays, and original machinery, like the giant turbines designed by Nikola Tesla. Learn about Ontario’s pioneering green energy project and get a glimpse of the early stages of power generation at Niagara Falls.

You will then go 180-feet down in a glass elevator to the historic half-mile tunnel. Walk to the end of the 100-year-old Tailrace tunnel to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Horseshoe Falls. The tour ends near The Tesla coil, where science, history, and technology converge to illuminate the Niagara Falls power station with impressive lightning arcs.

I loved learning about and the history of different events of Niagara Falls!! The one picture was after, and one on the ride.. This was so much better than any amusement park ride I have ever been on.. I felt like.. maybe like what it felt like on the Titanic without the sinking..

My family is from Niagara falls so I was playing tourist that day with my older daughter. The tour was very casual yet informative a good pace and ended with a tour of the cave of the winds it was absolutely extraordinary! Very much enjoyed our guide as well. He made everyone feel welcome and asked us thoughtful questions about where we were from and history regarding Niagara falls. Would definitely do the tour again or recommend to a friend

Legendary Larry, who was our tour guide, was an excellent tour guide, he gave us a lot of details, knows everything about niagara falls and was able to get us around the area and into the tours, without a long wait.

The Skylon Tower is very impressive—we loved it, as well as the cruise. I was disappointed by the behind-the-scenes tour of the falls—I was expecting something different—but the day was magical, the guide was very clear, the transportation was comfortable, and we stopped for a tasting of maple syrup and chocolate. It was a wonderful, well-rounded excursion that I highly recommend.

The guide and driver were very friendly, insightful and accommodating. Couldn't recommend this tour more, although I would say if you go for the full package (including helicopter flight) there's a lot to fit in. We are exhausted but had an amazing time
