The Maid of the Mist boat tour takes you from the Observation Tower in the State Park to just a 100 feet from Niagara Falls.

Parking: If you are traveling by car, you can park at the three Niagara Falls State Park lots on Goat Island and Prospect Point. 

Getting to Niagara Falls

  • Arrive at the dock at least 15 mins before your scheduled departure to ensure you don’t miss the boat.
  • Children under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult to go on the boat tour.
  • Smoking or vaping is not allowed on board.
  • Follow all crew instructions carefully during boarding, disembarking, and the tour itself.
  • Guests are provided with rain ponchos, but outside food or alcohol is not permitted.
  • Large bags, tripods, or umbrellas cannot be brought onto the deck.
  • Be considerate of other guests and keep the deck clear for everyone to enjoy the view.

  • Life jackets are available for children and can be requested from the crew.
  • In case of emergency, follow all crew instructions for the proper use of life-saving equipment.
  • Children must remain with an adult at all times. Keep them close, especially near the deck railings.
  • Stay seated or hold handrails during choppy waters or near the falls, as the decks can be wet and slippery.

  • Early morning tours tend to be less crowded, so you can plan an early visit to enjoy the tour peacefully. 
  • While you will be given a complimentary poncho, you’re bound to get drenched so take along a change of clothes and a waterproof case to protect your mobile and other important belongings.
  • You can bring your stroller onto the boat and store it in the designated area to keep them dry.
  • Here’s a bonus tip! Stay in the middle of the boat if you don’t want to get too drenched. But for the full Maid of the Mist experience, make your way to the left side of the boat.

Le guide Dave Lopez a été formidable. Il s'est surpassé. Nous n'étions pas sûrs d'avoir vraiment besoin d'un tour pour voir les chutes du Niagara. Mais nous sommes ravis de l'avoir fait. La visite s'en est trouvée nettement améliorée. Le seul problème est le lieu de rendez-vous. Ce n'est pas devant l'hôtel Comfort Inn Pointe. C'est dans le parc devant l'arche, en face de la billetterie pour la visite de la Grotte des Vents. Dave s'est assuré de nous appeler lorsque nous étions perdus et a fait tout ce qui était en son pouvoir pour nous amener à bon port. Il a même pris des photos de nous et des participants à l'excursion (et de très bonnes photos multiples). Je recommande vivement cette excursion. Cela en vaut la peine. Merci encore Dave ! Nous nous sommes bien amusés.

Cette excursion a été un moyen fantastique de découvrir les chutes du Niagara. L'itinéraire était bien planifié et tout s'est déroulé sans problème. Notre guide était serviable, instructif et a rendu le voyage encore plus agréable. Les vues étaient magnifiques à chaque arrêt et nous avons eu beaucoup de temps pour nous promener, prendre des photos et profiter du paysage. J'ai apprécié que la visite ne soit pas précipitée et qu'elle nous permette de profiter pleinement de la beauté de la région. Je recommanderais sans hésiter cette excursion à tous ceux qui recherchent un moyen facile, agréable et sans stress de voir les chutes du Niagara.
